Sr. Logistics Analyst
The contractor shall provide expert advice, assistance and support to the FISC Norfolk Supply Management Department Navy District Washington Supply Program. Functions as the Logistics Management Analyst for the program and as such assists in and supports the development, implementation and assessment of program sector processes resulting in improved logistic and business/financial processes to further increase readiness. Is directly responsible for ensuring that tasks are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• BA or BS degree
• Strong writing, editing and communications skills required
CLEARANCE: Active Secret or ability to obtain Interim Secret
LOCATION: Washington Navy Yard, DC.

TASKS:
Collects, analyzes, and maintains data required to manage assigned programs (i.e. historical, statistical, etc). Researches and investigates new or improved business or management practices for applications to organization/agency programs or operations. Conducts studies of efficiency and productivity, conducts studies and analysis of operating procedures and to determine if more efficient or cost effective methods/practices can be achieved. Understands Lean Six Sigma so that process improvement teams can improve operating efficiencies of division across FISCN NDW.
· Experienced in dealing with interrelated chain of activities in the supply process from the inception or acquisition stages, to the storage, distribution, utilization, consumptions and disposal stages of commodities and equipment.
· Recommends changes or improvements to processes gained through quantitative or qualitative methods in consideration of the mission. Identifies and resolves conventional and complex problems, which require deviation from established policies and instructions. Develops feasibility/capability reports and system summaries, attrition factors, and a variety of forecasts. Conducts surveys and provides program support.
· As necessary, develops, recommends, interprets, applies, and maintains policy guidance and serves as advisor on technical, policy, and procedural matters to ensure compliance with directives. Develops procedures/systems for establishing, operating, and assessing the effectiveness of administrative control systems such as those designated to prevent waste, loss, unauthorized, or misappropriation of assets. Conducts studies to analyze the effectiveness of funding and prepares forecasts of future requirements for assigned program(s).
· Participates in special projects, initiatives, and studies, and performs special assignments. Identifies the need for special projects and initiates milestones and goals. Prepares and delivers written and oral presentations such as briefings, consultations, and strategy sessions in order to secure cooperation, resolve controversial matters, and convey information relative to proposed changes in assigned program(s).
